Sawa is the Arabic word for "together." We built it to fix one quietly painful problem in Egyptian travel — and to make sure that when someone wants to see the pyramids, the Nile or the desert, the trip they were promised actually happens.

Meanwhile operators were getting those same requests — one traveler here, two there — never quite enough to run the date. So they cancelled. The tour they wanted to run, and the trip the traveler wanted to take, both vanished over a gap of two or three people.
